Thank you for telling the truth about “The Fourth Kind” hoax. It seems that movie companies will do anything to make money, including intentionally lying about Nome and hurting families. This type of sham on movie-goers will not go unnoticed. Buyer-beware, “The 4th Kind” is fake.

I’m really glad you posted this. Like alot of other people who have seen the trailer, I have started doing research on the supposed ‘true story’ behind the movie. I actually stumbled upon the sites you mentioned that were faked before I found your page. But its nice to hear a real Alaskan confirm or (in this case) prove this story wrong. I think its petty and wrong that Universal would go that far to make money. If I were these families I’d sue!

great blog post, but I think it’s a bit misleading? I don’t know how the connection between missing native alaskans in 2004 and the movie’s claim of missing people in 2000 was made. I think it’s a bit far to call it insensitive. i had friends who had relatives who were missing as well, and it was never solved, no word from the police. findings were inconclusive. but I wouldn’t blame a movie for that. i think seeing the real footage would give us more details, but until then I think these investigations of what’s real or fake could just be more coverups of what really happened.
