I’m going dark

I hate to do this to you…. but with King and Seavey getting into Cape Nome just a little bit ago (still minutes apart) I’ve got to get down to front street for the live KICY broadcast.

The good news is: Its being recorded….and the first 10 of you can listen online @ kicy.org.

putting a dog in the bag isn’t a “drop” leaving him at a check point is. Some mushers will carry one to keep it fresh for the last few miles; however, I don’t know if that was the case.

I’m still confused about this time “to be made up” thing…does it mean time will be added??? With King and Seavey so close, could King win by seconds???? I hope Josh will( or someone) clear this up!!!

  14. cabin fever Says:

No King can’t. Seavey left four minutes behind him, so King would actually be adding time.

I don;t know if Mackey will see this, but incase he does I just want you to know that our family and friends have watched you for the past 4 years and have the greatest respect for you. All twenty of us in Texas were pulling for you. We all stayed with you throughout the race , some of the twenty were together and the others . well, we were burning up the telephone lines and the internet . We were wanting this so badly for you, but it just wasn’t to be
We were happy that Mitch caught him,. If it couldn’t be Team Mackey .To all of us you are still ‘THE MAN”

We haven’t seen or read anything of Mackey entering Nome and his reaction, but I can tell you this, Lance was humble and shook the hands of Seavey, and even King. Thats just the person he is.
